Using Mozilla 1.7.5 on Linux
Augh! Make the Flash text go away! It makes the page render soooooo sloooooooooowly. Also, sometimes it shows up with a green background, which just looks ridiculous.
Makes me want to uninstall Flash so I can get the real text back.

It’s still a little slow, but that’s probably just because my system is a touch older. On the whole it’s much better and doesn’t render in green. I think it looks just as good, but then again I’m not so picky on presentation.

In regards to Phil. I’ll be rolling out this new CSS-based version of the site soon, and it’s good to know the “green” rendering has been fixed.
As for the slowness, I’m a designer, so presentation is important to me. As long as it doesn’t slow down things a WHOLE lot, I’m ok with sacrificing some speed for a better look. And so it comes back to the usability vs. design issue…
