Dan DeSalvo, MAF Missionary Pilot

I got an e-mail from my old friend and roommate at Simpson, Dan, whom I hadn’t heard from in years–looks like he’s reached his goal of becoming a missionary pilot! My freshmen year was my best year of college–and one of the most hilarious times of my life–thanks to Dan! At only 18, he was already a pilot then, and he would fly us over Redding!

He left Simpson after that freshmen year to attend the Moody Aviation program. Looks like he made it and is now with MAF flying in Ecuador, where he spend his youth as a Missionary’s kid.

Here’s a cool picture of my roommates and I on my first day at Simpson…I just met those guys a few minutes ago and Dan has his arm around me. (From left to right: Chris, Dan, Me, and Dave)

Here’s a picture of the 4 of us 3 years later at Chris’ wedding in the summer of 2000. (From left to right: Dan, Dave, Me, and Chris) Ah, memories.

Anyway, Congratulations Dan, I’m really proud of you and Sarah!
