Yes, I’m sorry to say, my worst fear has come true: Chesney and I are separated. She’s gone–took Caleb and left me. Can’t say I blame her though.
…I mean, if I had the rest of the summer off and didn’t have work for another few weeks, I would take that opportunity to hit the road and visit friends too. Too bad I don’t have that kind of a job. Maybe I should work for a school.
Instead of being completely devastated and pathetic, I also have taken advantage of my circumstances. I invited Oliver, Mac, and AJ to come over and spend a few days at the house. It’s only been one day, but so far we’ve gotten a lot done. We’ve gone to 99 bottles and had some good burgers and beer, watched some good Star Trek, and played a lot of nintendo and computer games late into the night and into the early morning. Today we’ll probably watch horror movies and on Wednesday go to the Boardwalk cheap night. Wow, feels like my single, college days again…
I realized, though, how much I missed Chesney and Caleb again when I talked to them on the phone and when talking to Caleb on the phone to tell him goodnight, him saying in his cute baby voice, “hhhiiii,” and “daddy!” ‘Miss you guys. Drive safe!
[UPDATE 3] Chesney also writes about her trip on her personal blog.
[UPDATE 2] Some pictures of Chesney’s trip and my time at home are on timches.com.
[UPDATE] Oliver just posted some details on what we did in the four days they were here.
