Apple today announced new video-capable iPods. Their screens are larger, they’re thinner, 30% smaller than the previous generation of iPods, and Just like the Nano, they come in black or white. TV shows are available for $2/episode.

Yeah, I’ve heard the resolution is horrendous.

Yep, the resolution is 320 x 240. What’s more important is that Apple has brought video to the portable player mainstream. Sure, other players have done the same already, but with iPods having 75% (or something) of the market share, video will be more prevalent from now on.
