Battling it out with Google Maps, Yahoo Maps redoes it’s mapping service. Pretty nice! Design-wise, I’ve always liked Yahoo. It’s always been a nice middle ground between the starkness Google and the over-the-top bubbliness of AOL and MSN.

Using Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7 on Windows XP
The UI is decent, but it’s all flash. Which is decent, but not exactly what you’d call groundbreaking. Doing the whole thing in Javascript is just mind-boggling. (Also their API is much more restrictive than Google’s, so it’s not much good from a remix perspective.)
Still, competition never hurt anyone.
