Wow, I’ve really been lazy in updating this blog. I figured after 3 weeks of no entries, I really should write something–anything (Mac, quit posting every other day and making the rest of us look bad).
Chesney and I finally got sick of stepping over piles of auction items all over the place in our office (I don’t know how she kept it all straight), so we took a trip to IKEA–the one in East Palo Alto, where my long-lost relative is the general manager–and bought ourselves a huge set of shelves and a real desk for Chesney. Up until now, Chesney has been using one of those rolling, portable computer desks with a table beside it as her workspace.
In related news, after more than a year of Mac-evangelizing (the computer, not the cousin) on this blog, I finally quit being a hypocrite and bought myself one of my own: a 20″ widescreen iMac. I’ve had a Mac at work, but this is the first time we’ve had one at home. Since getting this beautiful machine, I made use of wonderful bundled software and created a short video clip of Caleb singing the ABC’s, in literally 10 minutes with iMovie (5 minutes if you don’t count the time it took to import the clip from our camcorder). Ah, coming back to Apple’s OS X after being in Windows XP is wonderful. Just wonderful.
